Informationα-L-Rhamnose monohydrate (6-deoxy-L-mannose monohydrate, α-L-Rhamnopyranose monohydrate) is used as a starting material for the production of furanones. It is an important material involved in the reaction of flavors developed during the preparation of various foods like bread, grilled meats, etc.In vitroL-rhamnose in concentration up to 20 (32 resp.) mmol/l can not be considered as cytotoxic or cytostatic for the used in vitro tumor models.In vivoL-rhamnose exerts a significant suppressive effect on tumour growth.
