RFRP-3 (Neuropeptide VF(124-131))(human), a human GnIH peptide homolog, is a potent inhibitor of gonadotropin secretion by inhibiting Ca2+ mobilization. RFRP-3(human) is a NPFF1 receptor agonist, it inhibits forskolin-induced production of cAMP with an IC50 of 0.7 nM.

体外研究：

RFRP-3 有效抑制毛喉素诱导的 cAMP 产生，IC50 为 0.7 nM。
Scatchard-plot 分析表明，125I-标记的 hRFRP-3 对表达大鼠 OT7T022 的 CHO 细胞的膜组分、Kd 值和 Bmax 值分别为 0.19 nM 和 1.3 pM。
RFRP-3 特异性刺激转染了新孤儿 7TMR OT7T022 的细胞，它作为特异性配体与 OT7T022 结合，具有高亲和力 (Kd= 0.19 nM)。
RFRP-3 (10-8 to 10-14M) 有单独对 LH 和 FSH 水平没有影响，但当它与 GnRH 结合时，LH 和 FSH 分泌因组合而显著减少。
