体内研究：

Atorvastatin（20-30 mg/kg；口服灌胃；每天一次；持续 28 天；ApoE−/− 小鼠）sodium 显着降低内质网 (ER) 应激信号蛋白、凋亡细胞数量，以及 Ang II 诱导的 ApoE-/- 小鼠中 Caspase12 和 Bax 的激活。Atorvastatin sodium 治疗后，IL-6、IL-8、IL-1β 等促炎细胞因子均受到显着抑制。
